Supplier collection

Your suppliers will actually answer.

One side is the list you chase. The other is what the supplier sees: a link, four fields, their own language, no password.

Evidence gate

Green only when it's true.

Most tools generate a QR code. Bostyn checks the evidence behind it. Expired, unsigned or low-confidence evidence blocks publishing and flags live passports automatically.

Expired — validity window passed, publication refused

Unsigned — no issuer or hash, held in review

Low confidence — under the 80% threshold, blocked

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

  1. 1

Map the product and its suppliers

Import the catalogue, attach the bill of materials and name the legal entity and facility behind each component.

    bom
  2. 2

    Collect the evidence

A scoped link goes to the supplier. Certificates and declarations come back with issuer, validity window and a confidence score.

  3. 3

    Publish passports and statements

One stable link per product or per unit, tiered for the public, buyers and authorities, with the version history intact.

Founder note

“I spent my career running operations and supply chains, from graduate trainee to COO. I built Bostyn because I've chased suppliers for certificates by email, and I know the deadline doesn't move. Bostyn does that chasing for you, and shows you the truth about your data.”

FAQ

The questions we get asked first.

Do e-bike batteries under 2 kWh need a passport?+

Yes. All LMT batteries are in scope at any capacity, alongside EV batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh. Each unit needs its own QR-linked passport from 18 Feb 2027.

Do my suppliers pay?+

Never. Supplier seats are free on every plan. A supplier opens a magic link, answers only the fields you shared, and can reuse those answers for every brand they supply.

Where is my data hosted?+

In a managed Postgres database with per-organisation isolation. The hosting region and the full sub-processor list are named in the Data Processing Agreement we sign before your pilot starts.

Can I export everything?+

Yes, at any time, in open formats: products, bills of materials, evidence records with hashes, passports as JSON-LD and every declaration as CSV.

What happens to passports if I leave?+

Published passports stay resolvable for the legal retention period, so the units already in the field keep an answer, and you keep the export.

Is Bostyn legal advice?+

No. We help you collect, check and prove the data. We recommend confirming your obligations with your own advisers.
